CIS197 VMware ESXI Server Enterprise 3 Credits
Introduction to vSphere and VMware ESXI server in the enterprise. Covers many aspects of virtualization for VMware ESXI server administration. Designed to develop knowledge and skills required to install, configure and troubleshoot a VMware ESXI Server (vSphere) including basic network functions.
Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in (CIS126DL or MST150 (any module)) and (CIS190 or MST140), or permission of Instructor.

Notes: Class 28048 Online classes are conducted exclusively via the Internet. Before enrolling in their first online class at MCC, students need to view the online orientation and complete the readiness survey on www.mesacc.edu/elearning/get-started for additional information. Class 28048 This class does not meet on campus, but rather in a virtual, online classroom. You will be required to attend a weekly online lecture which will start promptly at 6:00 PM (Arizona Time) on the date indicated by the class schedule. Every student needs to have a headset with a built-in microphone or a phone with which to call in order to participate in this class. The students will have the opportunity to interact live with the instructor and all other students during this online class meeting. There are assignments and activities that are required outside of class time.
Class 28048 This class is one of two classes that help prepare you for the VMware Certified Professional ? Datacenter Virtualization (VCP-DCV) certification. These classes should be taken in the following order: CIS197 (related to the vSphere Foundations Exam) CIS198 (related to the VCP-DCV Exam) After successfully receiving a passing grade, you can receive a voucher which provides proof that you attended a certified course, which meets the VCP certification requirement to ?Attend one of the required training courses.? After successfully completing these two certification tests using at least one of the vouchers provide with the course, you will earn the current VCP-DCV certification. The vouchers also provide the student with a discount on the cost of the exam. Students may contact robert.danielson@mesacc.edu for more information about the class.
