ART283 Digital Graphic Arts II 3 Credits

Advanced skill development of graphic design through use of microcomputer. Emphasis on computer design and techniques for producing all types of camera-ready advertising art for printed matter and package design. Includes illustration, typography, photo imaging, and color separation.
Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ADA/ART183 or permission of Instructor.

Course Notes: ART283 is required for the Certificate of Completion in Digital Arts: Graphic Design. It is also required for the AAS Digital Arts degree in Graphic Design. Software used: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. ART283 is a Service Learning course for advanced students that provides the opportunity to create professional quality graphic design work for non-profit agencies in the community.

Due to COVID related campus lab closures, students will be provided an Adobe Creative Cloud account tied to their MEID username, for home use on PC or Mac computers (smartphone or tablet mobile devices are not supported) during the duration of this course. Students should review the minimum configuration requirements to run Adobe CC on their personal device at:
