The ceremony recognized AmeriCorps and Senior Corps volunteers serving in Mesa, and Mesa United Way was awarded a five member VISTA project that focuses on serving veterans. Members worked at the Veteran Service Center at Mesa Community College to help build a web-based one-stop-shop for veterans through the City of Mesa.
