Colleagues,

Join us for our upcoming Black History Month Speaker with Kaari Aubrey! This talk explores the power of emotions and memory in understanding and honoring Black History. Using tools like music, visuals, vocabulary, historical postcards, and group discussion, participants will engage in activities that prompt reflection and creative thinking about social implications and emotional connections to Black History.

The concept of "Re-membering" putting back together the stories, traditions, and truths that colonization and systemic oppression have fragmented will guide the session. Participants will learn how acknowledging and expressing emotions can foster a deeper understanding of history, as well as a sense of gratitude, healing, and empowerment for personal & collective growth.
