Stagedoor Players Present: New Play Project

MCC Theatre - EXP Blackbox Studio

Sept 18 & 19 at 7 pm, Sept 19 at 2 pm

NPP – New Play Project is a new student-led new play theatre festival from Stage Door Players, inspired by the National Playwriting Program that our students participated in at the American College Theatre Festival. Students create the entire project—from the stories on the page to the performances on the stage. Student-written, student-directed, student-produced, and student-performed, NPP allows students to develop original plays together through a fast-paced, collaborative process culminating in staged readings.

About this event

MCC Theatre and Film Arts Presents

Miss Bennet Christmas at Pemberley by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon

MCC Theatre - December 4 -5, 10-11 at 7:30 pm and Dec. 5 & 12 at 2 pm

Step back into the witty world of Jane Austen with Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, a warm, clever, and delightfully romantic sequel to Pride and Prejudice. Set two years after the novel ends, the holiday gathering at the grand Darcy estate brings together beloved characters alongside one unexpectedly charming heroine: the bookish, overlooked middle sister, Mary Bennet. Tired of living in the shadow of her siblings' whirlwind courtships, Mary finds her quiet life upended when an unexpected—and delightfully awkward—guest sparks her hopes for intellectual rivalry, independence, and true love. Penned by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon, this sparkling comedy is packed with sharp banter, festive joy, and plenty of heart, making it the ultimate holiday treat for Austen diehards and theatre lovers alike!

About this event

MCC Theatre and Film Arts Presents:

Orphee by Jean Cocteau

MCC Theatre - April 30- May 1, May 6-7 at 7:30 pm and May 1 & 8 at 2 pm

Step through the looking glass into Jean Cocteau’s mesmerizing, avant-garde reimagining of classic mythology in Orphée. Set in a haunting, surreal landscape where mirrors serve as portals to the underworld and Death glides among mortals disguised in chic elegance, this bold masterwork follows the celebrated poet Orphée on a perilous journey to reclaim his lost love, Eurydice. Pulsing with hypnotic theatrical magic, eerie poetry, and sharp avant-garde style, Cocteau turns the classic myth on its head to explore the intoxicating cost of artistic obsession, fate, and human passion. Elegant, uncanny, and brilliantly original, Orphée is a dreamlike theatrical experience that will leave you questioning where reality ends and the supernatural begins.
