Life isn't fair—and neither is this. At the upcoming Oxfam America Hunger Banquet presented by the Mesa Community College Honors Program, you will learn how to change the way people think about poverty and hunger, on a local and global scale. Oxfam is helping families throughout the impoverished countries, but the need remains enormous in our very own cities. Grab a few of your friends to join in on Wed. March 5th, 2014 from 12PM to 2PM, and you too can be a part of the change that helps eliminate hunger.
The MCC Honors Program is dedicated to helping you reach your highest potential. We offer a rigorous multi-disciplinary curriculum that emphasizes active, small-group learning supported by related extra-curricular activities.
"The Honors Program challenged me to delve deeper into the subject I was studying, and gain a deeper, more meaningful understanding of the course material. The faculty and staff of the Honors Program believed in me, even when I did not believe in myself. They encouraged me to apply for, and ultimately get selected for several very prestigious scholarships and provided me with the educational framework I needed to succeed after transferring to a university. The Honors Program, in many ways, changed my life."
