The Future of Printmaking: A Survey of the Graphic Arts

Opening Reception: Thursday, February 16, 6-8pm.

Exhibition runs: Jan 19 - March 17

This exhibition explores the long and prestigious history of printmaking in Arizona while celebrating the diversity of printmaking practices in the state today. This survey brings together selections from Mesa Community College’s permanent collection with the contributions of printmakers throughout the state so that patrons can learn more about the history and practice of the genre. Every form and style of printmaking will be represented in The Future of Printmaking including woodcut, linocut, collagraph, monotype, etching, engraving, screen printing, pochoir, stencil, lithograph, drypoint, aquatint, mezzotint, spitebite aquatint, photogravure, handmade paper, and digital prints.

The MCC Art Gallery can be found behind the AC building near the MCC Theatre. Complimentary parking for events is conveniently provided in the southeast lots of campus.
