Students - Be Ready to Succeed

To get the most out of your Advisor Appointment, we suggest you do the following:

• Be sure you are Enrolled in the College. Follow the Steps to Enrollment here.
• Take ASSET, COMPASS or CELSA Placement testing at the Testing Center
• Have your official transcripts sent to MCC - follow the directions under the "Request Transcripts" section.
• Prepare a list of questions and do some research before your appointment.
• Collect copies of curriculum check sheets & unofficial transcripts to bring with you.
• Be prepared to take notes and ask questions at your appointment.

You should also know how to read and use:

• semester class schedules,
• college catalog,
• curriculum check sheets, and
• your ASSET, COMPASS, & CELSA test scores.
