Steps to Enroll:



Step 1 – Complete a Student Information Form

Important:

If you are under the age of 18 or concurrently enrolled in high school, you must complete the Concurrent Student Information Form to be admitted as a student with special status.

If you are an international student applying for an F-1 student visa to attend Mesa Community College, you must complete and submit the International Student Information Form along with other required documents.

Former MCC students are not required to submit a new Student Information Form. Simply call the college to update your information.

Step 2 – Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships

Visit the Financial Aid Office webpage for information on how to pay for college. You may also complete the online Federal Application for Financial Student Aid [FAFSA] www.fafsa.ed.gov

Step 3 – Take the Placement Test

We encourage you to test prior to meeting with an academic advisor. Testing may be required before course registration. The testing center is located in Building #38-A (see campus map). Contact the Testing Center for the daily testing schedule and be sure to bring a picture ID.

Step 4 – Seek Academic Advisement

Academic advisors are available in many student services departments including Advisement Services, Transfer Services, Career & Reentry Services, American Indian Center, Multicultural Services, Disability Resources & Services, Admissions & Recruitment, and Veterans Services (see campus map).

Step 5 – Register for Classes

Students may register in one of these three (3) ways:

  • my.maricopa.edu (register by web for classes that do not have prerequisites)
      Learn More about my.maricopa.edu
  • ]
  • In-Person (register in-person with your signed enrollment documents at either of our campuses)
  • Automated Telephone (register by automated telephone for classes that do not have prerequisites)

Step 6 – Pay Tuition & Fees

Tuition and fees are due by the date indicated on your ’Charges Due’ page of your Student Center at my.maricopa.edu. Students not paying fees by the due date may be dropped from their classes.

Step 7 – Obtain Student ID Card

Student ID cards are free. Bring your paid receipt and a picture ID to Student Life & Leadership located in the Kirk Student Center(see campus map).

Step 8 – Obtain Parking Decal

Parking is free. All vehicles must be registered with the college and display a decal. Decals are available from Student Life & Leadership located in the Kirk Student Center, and College Safety, Building #14 (see campus map). Be sure to bring the license plate number from your vehicle.

Step 9 – Purchase Textbooks

Textbooks can be purchased in the Bookstore, located in Building #38-A (see campus map) and via the internet.

Step 10 – Attend New Student Orientation

Attend one of the New Student Orientation sessions to ensure your success at MCC. Register online or via the telephone at (480) 461-7700.
