Advantages of eLearning

Internet classes are convenient.

One great advantage of an internet course is that your classroom (theoretically) is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Your only excuse for missing class is not getting online! You can get announcements, access learning materials, review assignments, take exams, discuss questions, chat with fellow students and study any time you want; with the exception of certain due dates and other requirements that may be set by the instructor. Each internet course is different so be sure to check with the instructor about course structure and requirements.

eLearning classes offer flexibility.

eLearning classes give you flexibility as you balance the demands of work, family, friends, significant others or other activities. You still have to complete the class requirements, meet deadlines and study. However, for many people with changing work schedules, who travel frequently, have small children, have military commitments, or whose health prevents them from making it to campus on a regular basis, this method of course delivery can't be beat. While internet classes have more flexibility with no or minimum on-campus requirements, hybrid classes offer the classroom experience many students enjoy along with online activities. Time in the classroom is reduced and replaced with online learning activities.

eLearning classes cover the same required objectives as a traditional class and transfer to university in the same way. eLearning classes reduce some barriers students have in getting to class.
