Excitement is building as the August 22 kick-off day for Fall 2020 classes is a week away. Almost 90% of our courses will be taught online. The college facilities will have limited access. This may change as the COVID crisis shifts.
I urge you to reach out to our staff or to your faculty with questions and for help with any struggles. Know that we’re listening to what you are saying you need to succeed. Here are ways we are responding.

Services for You
Classes – Fall class options meet the variations in time, flexibility and delivery you as Thunderbirds have requested. Concerned about virtual learning? Your student colleagues say the online courses were no more challenging than traditional on-campus classes they have taken.
Library - Not open for in-person visitors. All services are being delivered virtually including the popular Ask A Librarian. Starting August 17 there is curbside pickup of books and materials from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Access the Southern and Dobson pickup from the Library Entrance east of Dobson Road. The Red Mountain pickup site is at the Mountain Way bus stop in front of the Mesquite building. To schedule your pickup, call Southern and Dobson, 480-761-7680, or Red Mountain, 480-654-7741.
Bookstore – Not open to in-store shopping. Staff answering questions at 480-461-7225. Order books and materials online for delivery. COMING SOON - information about a future Southern and Dobson curbside pickup option.
Campus Wi-Fi and Laptop Work Areas – Available only for students enrolled in fall classes. Southern and Dobson: building BA 40 offers computer use and the Navajo Room in the Student Center has Wi-Fi for your laptop. Wi-Fi and computers at the Red Mountain campus are available for use on the first floor of the Desert Willow building. Reservations will be required.
Enrollment Services - Connect via phone, chat, video, email and text. An appointment is required for on-campus meetings. In addition to regular weekday hours, virtual services are available Saturdays, August 15 and 22, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Find more admissions and enrollment information on the MCC website.
Safety - Mask or face coverings are required on campus. We want everyone to be safe! If you require an accommodation exception, it needs to be made BEFORE you come to campus.
