Marcy Snitzer

Marcy’s love story began at MCC in September 1991, when she and Sean started dating during their sophomore year. Both were scholarship recipients, Sean attended MCC with the President’s Scholarship, while Marcy received support from the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation. After two years at MCC, they both transferred to ASU, but their journey together had just begun. Marcy and Sean married December 28, 1996, a day that marked the start of a lifelong adventure.

In June 2001, Marcy began working at MCC, and just two weeks later, she discovered she was pregnant with their son, Will,  a moment that would change their lives forever. Over the years, their children Will and Tanya attended countless MCC events, creating cherished memories, from Will in the big tire at Vehicle Day to Tanya and her friend Isobel at Summer Youth College. Both of them also participated in Dual Enrollment during high school.

MCC continues to be part of the Snitzer family’s journey today. Marcy now serves as MCC’s Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement, helping lead the very institution where their story began.

From student sweethearts to dedicated professionals, Marcy and Sean’s story is a powerful testament to the lasting connections built at MCC.
