In 2011, Janelle was a student at MCC when she met Robert in the TC-50 computer lab. The two quickly became friends, spending time together between classes. It wasn’t long before they fell for each other! Janelle asked Robert out first, and from then on, they were inseparable. After graduating, they continued their relationship, got married in 2016, and welcomed two sons, Luke and Jude in 2019 and 2020.
A few years later Robert began teaching in the Drafting & Design program, and in 2023, Janelle joined the Construction program. Now, they both teach in the building where they first met! "MCC has always held a special place in our hearts, and we’re so happy to be part of this incredible school," said Janelle.
Janelle and Robert’s first photo together was taken near the Rose Garden at MCC. From students to professors, MCC has been the backdrop of their journey, from where their love first bloomed to where they now give back as dedicated faculty members.
