Emerging technologies have evolved the manufacturing industry, leading to a surplus of advanced positions.

Within the rapidly expanding corridor encompassing southeast Phoenix and Tucson lies a cluster of modern manufacturing companies. The area was selected as home for their operations because of the proximity to a skilled talent pool. Arizona’s manufacturing establishments provide more than 162,000 jobs to our state and as they innovate and grow, so does the demand for skilled automated industrial technology professionals.

As a response, the state’s private companies, public sector and academic institutions came together to create a first-of-its-kind partnership called the Arizona Advanced Technology Network. Mesa Community College, Estrella Mountain Community College, Pima Community College and Central Arizona College partnered to develop a unified, industry-recognized curriculum specifically designed to teach the skills needed for high-paying, high-tech automated manufacturing jobs with the goal of preparing Arizona's workforce for the future.
