Congratulations!
The big day is drawing near. Applying for graduation is REQUIRED to be awarded your degree or certificate. Please follow the below steps to complete the application process.
Participation in the spring commencement ceremony is optional. If you are participating in the ceremony a cap and gown are required. There is no fee to apply for a certificate/degree.
Graduation Application Deadlines:
- Fall - October 15
- Spring - March 1
- Summer - June 1
*Applications submitted after a semester’s respective deadline will not be processed until the next semester.
Step 1 – Verify Your Academic Records are Complete and Correct
- Verify Non-Maricopa Transfer Credit Has Been Posted to MCC Record
- Go to the Academic Records Tile in Your Student Center
- How to Transfer Non-Maricopa Credits or Classes to MCC
- Verify Mailing Address is Correct
- Go to the Profile Tile in Your Student Center
- Complete the Graduate Exit Survey
- Record the Confirmation Number for Your Graduation Application
Step 2 - Submit Your Graduation Application
- Complete the Online Graduation Application
- There is no fee to submit the Online Graduation Application
- Programs are listed by Field of Interest. If you don't know your Field of Interest please refer to the full list of Programs and Degrees by Field of Interest.
What Happens Next?
- MCC Will Review Your Graduation Application
- Updates will be sent to your Maricopa email as your application is completing the review process
- After Final Grade Due Date for your graduation semester has passed, MCC will verify your graduation eligibility
- Applicants who have completed all degree requirements will be awarded and issued BOTH a physical and digital diploma within approximately sixty (60) calendar days after the semester they were awarded has ended. Once diploma has been issued; applicants will receive an email from Parchment Services with instructions on obtaining their diploma(s).
- Applicants who have NOT COMPLETED all degree requirements will need to continue enrollment and re-apply for graduation in a future semester
Celebrate Your Graduation!
Plan to Attend the Graduation Commencement Event
- Commencement is held in May and celebrates all students who graduated in the prior academic year
- Participation in the Commencement Event is OPTIONAL. The RSVP/REGISTRATION portal for Spring 2026 opens the week of April 2, 2026.
- Students who submitted applications for degree/certificates for the current academic year, Summer/Fall 2025, Spring 26 and Summer 2026 will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions on how to RSVP for the event.
- The deadline to RSVP to participate in the ceremony is April 19, 2026. Regalia is required to participate in the ceremony.
Note: Summer 2026 graduates’ official Commencement Ceremony is the following academic year, 2027. Those who wish for an exception to participate in the 2026 Commencement Ceremony must submit their graduation application by March 1 (three months before their regular deadline).
- Purchase Your Graduation Regalia if attending commencement
- A cap and gown are required to participate in the ceremony. There is no application fee to apply for graduation.
You can now order your cap and gown online and have it shipped to your home.
MCC will provide a complimentary diploma cover and applicable honors cords if you are participating in the event.
