College Planning

Mesa Community College (MCC) engages in systematic, integrated, and informed planning at the strategic, operational, and department levels.

The MCC Strategic Plan sets the future direction for the college and is guided by our college's Mission, Vision, and Values in order to ensure the long-term viability of our institution for our students and community and the effective and efficient use of public resources.

MCC's Strategic Enrollment Management Plan details the strategies, key goals, activities, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to steer MCC in its enrollment, retention, graduation, and transfer initiatives.

MCC departments participate in cycles of assessment and planning to align goals and budgets with the college’s mission and strategic directions. Academic programs within instructional departments complete periodic program reviews and implement action plans for improvement. Annual program threshold reviews examine program completion levels and course-level success rates. Non-instructional departments participate in cycles of self-assessment, based on standards from the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS).
