Whether you’re new to Mesa Community College or you’ve taken classes here before, preparing for college can be challenging, even confusing at times. That’s why we created this handy checklist. It’ll show you exactly what you need to do, provide you with critical information, and keep track of your progress as you go.
The MCC English department, in addition to its regular courses, also offers English classes for students whose primary language is other than English.
After taking the CELSA language placement test, students are advised about appropriate classes and program options. MCC's regular ESL program offers a variety of semester long (16-week) ESL classes at five different language levels for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students as well as an Intensive English program (8-week sessions) which meets five days a week.

The Mesa Community Outreach Center is offering English Classes non-credit courses to help people to communicate in English through the development of skills in listening and observing, speaking, reading and writing.

Achieving a College Education (ACE)
Achieving a College Education is MCC's scholarship program designed to improve access to higher education and improve success once enrolled in college. Our goal is to support underrepresented high school students in completing a college education by facilitating their transition from high school to the community college and the university or the completion their educational goals.
