Civic Action Hour: Be Ballot Ready for Nov 3

Maricopa County Recorder, Community Relations Coordinator – Youth Outreach

● Melissa Davis, Youth Outreach Coordinator for the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office will be discussing important information about the November 3 General Election to ensure all students can “Be Ballot Ready.” Melissa will go over the basics of voting, both by mail and in person, and how your vote is tabulated by the Maricopa County Elections Department. She will also discuss how to sign up to be a poll worker and other job opportunities with the Maricopa County Recorder and Elections Offices.

Civic Action Hour: Census and Redistricting

● Speaker: Jeff Robbins
2020 Census and Redistricting Administrator, City of Mesa

Jeff Robbins has been engaged in local government since interning with his state legislature in college. He is an AmeriCorps VISTA alumni, local government advocate, and a certified public manager. He graduated cum laude and with university honors from Brigham Young University and with a master’s in public administration from the University of Kansas. Jeff participated in many of Mesa’s largest public outreach events over the past several years and will be the City’s council redistricting effort in 2021.
