There are assignments and activities that are required outside of class time. This class is one of two classes that help prepare you for the VMware Certified Professional Datacenter Virtualization (VCP-DCV) certification. These classes should be taken in the following order: CIS197 (related to the vSphere Foundations Exam) CIS198 (related to the VCP-DCV Exam) After successfully receiving a passing grade, you can receive a voucher which provides proof that you attended a certified course, which meets the VCP certification requirement to "Attend one of the required training courses." After successfully completing these two certification tests using at least one of the vouchers provide with the course, you will earn the current VCP-DCV certification. The vouchers also provide the student with a discount on the cost of the exam. Students may contact robert.danielson@mesacc.edu for more information about the class.

CIS200 VMware NSX: Install, Configure, Manage 3 Credits

Class 24631 This class helps prepare you for the VMware Certified Professional Network Virtualization (VCP-NV) certification. This class should be taken after the CIS197 (related to the vSphere Foundations Exam). Unfortunately, there is no voucher provided for this class and it does not count towards the attendance requirement for the VCP-NV. However, if you are already a VCP, you could take the VCP-NV test and it would certify you as a VCP-NV. You would also give you a dual VCP badge which you could post on LinkedIn and other sites. Students may contact robert.danielson@mesacc.edu for more information about the class. Every student needs to have a headset with a built-in microphone or a phone with which to call in order to participate in this class.
