20th Anniversary Events

Mesa Community College will kick off a series of events in November celebrating its Red Mountain’s Campus 20 year legacy of preparing learners to participate in an inclusive and vibrant learning community where everyone is supported to achieve success. A variety of indoor and outdoor events that focus on multiculturalism, health/wellness, the Desert Sonoran environment and the campus critters will be put on to showcase programming and invite community back on to campus. The opening event will be a festival!

Empty Bowls: Make A Difference for World Hunger Day At This Annual MCC Tradition

At MCC’s annual Empty Bowls events, for a $10 donation you can choose one of thousands of handcrafted bowls in observance of World Hunger Day. All proceeds go directly to the nonprofit Paz de Cristo Community Center, which provides anti-hunger and empowerment support for the East Valley’s homeless, unemployed, working poor and their families.

Vitalant Blood Services will be holding a blood drive on Monday, November 8 from 10:00 am-2:00 pm in the Mesquite Loop. There is a critical shortage of blood available in our community right now, and MCC Red Mountain is doing our part to support that need. Celebrate 20 years of MCC Red Mountain with a 2.0 mile run/walk around the beautiful, desert fitness trail. Along the way, we'll be honoring MCC Veterans. All participants receive a 20th Anniversary T-Shirt. This Event is FREE and open to the public!

Fresh food distribution in partnership with United Food Bank, held on the third Wednesday of each month at the Red Mountain campus from 10 am-12 pm. This is a drive-through distribution, and it's free and open to the public. No registration necessary. Enter campus on McKellips road and proceed straight ahead towards the Desert Willow building. After completing a brief form, our volunteers will place the food in your trunk/vehicle.
