Area for silent study only. No group study, conversation, or cell use permitted. One of our biggest demands from students is silent study area.

For student parents with young children; rooms contain children's furniture, children's books, and toys.

Both bound & current periodicals are all placed in one area for continuity and ease of use for students.

New furniture provides social and study area for students. Automatic unlocking doors allow increased access during library hours of operation.

Lactation Room LB204

Room available to reserve for nursing mothers returning to MCC, both employees and students. See policy below.

MCC Library Lactation Room Policy

The Mesa Community College Library is committed to meeting the needs of mothers returning to MCC, both employees and students. This includes ensuring the availability of a lactation room, located at LB204.

The purpose of this policy is to provide nursing mothers with a private placeto express breast milk for her nursing child for up to one year after the child’s birth. This policy is in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) which amended Section 7 of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

This room contains a lockable door, electrical outlets, chair, table, and sink. A refrigerator is located in the room next door. The room is available during Library business hours and can be reserved using a write-in reservation sheet on the inner door. The employee or student must provide her own pump, adapter, and accessories as well as a small cooler or insulated bag.
