Our vision at the International Education (IE) Office is to to promote global awareness for our campus and community. The IE Office serves prospective and current international students and scholars, supports opportunities for students to study abroad, acts as a resource for campus international and intercultural initiatives.
I have been in the field of International Education for 14 years, and have traveled to over 30 countries. I've worked at three other colleges, and earned my Master's degree in International and Intercultural Communication from the University of Denver. I've also studied and worked abroad in England (London), France (Tours & Paris), and the continent of Africa in Malawi, Benin, and Ghana.
I consider myself very fortunate to work in the field of international education, because it allows me to meet people from all over the world, and to help them in any way that I can. At MCC, we recognize that being far from home can be challenging, both personally and logistically. We help our students and practice service excellence so that our international students can achieve student success, whether their goals are to improve their English skills, complete an Associate's Degree, and/or transfer to a four year institution. We are proud to serve over 300 F-1 students from over 50 countries.
Please contact me or any of the dedicated IE staff members if you need assistance. We have Spanish (Trini), French (me), German (Kathleen), Thai (Supaluck), and of course English speakers who work here. If we don’t speak your language, we will find someone on our diverse campus who does!
We look forward to assisting you at the International Education Office, please visit us any time in building NU6, call us at 480-461-7756 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
