The reputation and strength of Mesa Community College depends on generous and visionary donors - alumni, parents, friends, retirees, corporations and foundations.
Through gifts at all giving levels, donors express their confidence in the philosophy, mission, and goals of MCC and our community. Gifts to the college enhance opportunities for students, faculty, and other MCC stakeholders.
Your gift to Mesa Community College can take many shapes. Our professional development staff will be happy to assist you in finding the type of gift that best meets your needs.
Your gift may be unrestricted in its use or you may designate it to apply to a specific program, purpose, or endowment fund. Most contributions qualify as charitable deductions through federal and state income taxes. As with all financial considerations, we encourage you to discuss potential tax advantages and other aspects of charitable giving with your attorney, tax advisor, or financial consultant. The following are the most common ways to give to MCC. Click on any particular item below for more details about the types of gifts.
Endowments help to commend student achievement and promote academic excellence now and in the future. Your gift is professionally invested and managed and the interest from the Endowments provides reliable, yearly funds for programs, services, and scholarships at MCC.
Want to recognize the achievements of someone you love? We accept naming rights for individuals, families, and honors groups. Share the accomplishments of someone who has done something amazing and inspire students at MCC to follow in their footsteps. Contact the Development Office to learn how your Endowment can make a difference today.
Increase the value of your contribution to MCC by taking advantage of your employer’s Matching Gift program. Many employers will donate an equal or greater amount than you donated. Contact the Development Office to find out if your employer qualifies for a Matching Gift.
Making a gift to MCC through your will, trust, or estate won’t cost you now, but will benefit the students of the future. Help support student achievements by designating MCC as a beneficiary in your will. Explore the ways your gift can have the greatest impact by contacting the Development Office.
MCC works with the Planned Giving Software company Crescendo which helps to provide the most recent forms and accurate information to help those who are interested in Planned Giving.
Another way to give to MCC is through an In-Kind donation (a contribution of goods or services). MCC receives a variety of In-Kind gifts which include artwork, supplies, equipment, uniforms, real estate, advertising, computer hardware, and more. To determine if your donation qualifies, please contact the Development Office.
Want to help make a difference? There is more than one way to give back to MCC. While monetary donations are always needed and accepted, public support in reaching out to perspective and current students, our community, and other alumni is invaluable. Volunteering is a great way to stay involved and support the college, its programs and students. Whether you volunteer your time through legislative advocacy, community engagement, in the Rose Garden, in a specific program, the planetarium, helping with registration or advising, being a docent at the performing arts center, or mentoring students, your support is greatly appreciated.
Rather than giving MCC a cash donation, consider donating stock, bonds, or mutual funds. Such gifts often end up being more beneficial than cash after being held for a year because they provide special tax advantages. Donors may be able to claim a charitable tax deduction for the full fair market value of the gift and never have to pay capital gain taxes on the appreciation. To donate your stock, bonds, or mutual funds to MCC, contact the Development Office.
