We offer the following services to Native / Indigenous students:
Hoop students are under 18 and have not graduated from high school.
The Maricopa Hoop of Learning (HOL) Program is a high school to college bridge program designed to meet the academic and cultural needs of American Indian students.
Why should I do this?
Hoop of Learning allows high school students to earn college credit while still in high school. You can earn a Certificate of Completion (CCL) or an Associate's degree (AS / AAS) while still in high school! That means you can be trained and ready to go to work, or transfer directly to ASU, U of A or NAU directly from high school! That saves you time and money.
AII students are adult, over 18 years old, and are recent high school graduates or students returning to education.
Our center is a place of support, both academically and socially, as we serve to encourage, strengthen, and retain the largest population of American Indian students in the Maricopa Community College District. We hope that when you arrive you feel that you are indeed part of a student-centered family environment and we encourage you to meet and interact with a diverse group of students.
What We Can Do
We can help you choose the classes necessary to complete a wide range of certificates or associate’s degrees and/or transferring to ASU, NAU or U of A . Helping you make smart educational choices can get you through college quicker and help you save money. This is a WIN-WIN!
