Don't lose access to the essentials
Duo is Maricopa Community Colleges’ two-factor authentication service providing an extra layer of security to protect against hackers, cyber threats, and any unauthorized access to sensitive data.
Beginning February 28, 2023, all students will be required to use Duo two-factor authentication when logging in to the Student Information System (SIS) Student Center.
Duo will be required for other password-protected applications, such as Canvas and Google Suite, later in the Spring 2023 semester.
Mesa Community College and the Maricopa Community College District (MCCCD) want to ensure your data remains safe from prying eyes.
- What is Two-Factor Authentication?
To authenticate means to verify one’s identity. Two-factor authentication is a secure way for you to access your online accounts by verifying your identity through two factors: a password (something you know) and a device (something you have, such as a smartphone).
- Where can I learn more about Duo?
- Do college employees need to do anything?
No action is needed at this time. The Duo system is already in place for faculty and staff.
