This initiative will develop a risk-intelligent campus by promoting awareness and action in the campus community. A recent survey of college and university leaders (January 2018, Inside Higher Ed) shows that the categories of campus climate, sexual assault and student behavior are within the top four reputational risks to institutions over the last three years. Compliance Services manages the Risk Assessment ‘Screening’ Tool and the Maricopa Integrated Risk Assessment (MIRA) Tool at MCC. We take a proactive approach by managing ongoing risk-assessments for the following: Campus reputation
Harm to people
Fiscal risk to campus
Physical campus
Accessibility
OBJECTIVE: Compliance Services will promote a risk-intelligent campus by raising awareness and action in using the MIRA Risk Assessment and Screening Tool; our goal is for 80% of the campus activities to be run through the screening tool by the end of the 2019-2020 academic year. |
The Assessment Care Team (ACT) is an academic and behavioral support system for students, set in motion by faculty and staff. It is managed by Compliance Services and is supported by the following departments:

OBJECTIVE: ACT will provide awareness sessions to all academic and student affairs departments by the end of the 2019-2020 academic year. |
