Reading is essential for life in the modern world. Reading is the key to success in college and life in general. Be sure to make reading classes your first priority by putting reading first on your academic plan.

studentsThe Reading Program at MCC is designed to further your reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills. Our program teaches you phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. These courses include ALT 100 and RDG 100.

Note: CRE 101 (Critical Reading and Critical Thinking) is the top-level Reading course. It is required for many programs, and it is required to obtain an associate's degree. (English 101 or English 107 or English 107LL is a prerequisite class for CRE 101.)
