What happened at the Psychology Spring Symposium 2022
Each Spring, the Psychological Science Department at Mesa Community College hosts a symposium. At this event, students present psychology research and other creative projects that they have completed in their psychology classes. Some of these presentations involve speaking to an audience, while others comprise posters. Various learning resources from the department are also on display. The Symposium is also a place for you to meet transfer representatives from four-year schools and learn more about psychology from your classmates and professors.
In our Spring 2022 Symposium, presentations were given on topics such as, "People With Mental Illness and Law Enforcement Interactions," "The Association Between Rejection Sensitivity and Susceptibility to Peer Influence in Young Adults" and "The Relationship Between Exposure to Violent Video Games and Depressive Symptoms in Young Adults." A special Question-And-Answer session was held with with international students, regarding their acculturation experiences as college students.
Here are a few pictures from the 2022 Symposium.
Hope to see you at the 2023 Symposium!
