Concert attire for all bands and orchestra: CONCERT BLACK  - Black pants or skirt (knee length or more), white or black dress shirt/blouse,

closed toe black dress shoes - no sandals or runners, black jacket and tie optional. 

Concerts are a required part of camp. Please note the call times below.

REMINDER TUESDAY 8 am Call Time for ALL Musician at Camp! We will be featured on FOX News!

Please continue to drop off your students prior to 9 am.  We ask that parents do not come in unless necessary as we have several hundred students to register and place in ensembles.  If you have paper work to submit please send it with your student.  Drop off zones are on the NE side of the PAC and students will need to come in through the EAST door of the PAC (not the main lobby entrance).  Park and drive as far East as possible helps with traffic congestion.

For day to day camp communication text CAMP19 to 480-787-0777 and communicate to us via text at this number.  The MCC staff loves volunteering time to be with students and therefore the return of texts may not occur until after the teaching day is complete.  IF you have an emergency and need to get a hold of your student please call MCC Public Safety at 480-461-7046.

Concerts

The concerts are required and will take place on Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7 at 6 pm.  Ticket information will be available near the end of the first week of camp along with student placement schedule.

Absences - remember to text CAMP19 then your students name, instrument and day/time in which they will be away.  We're counting on you being here so please communicate.

FIRAST DAY OF CAMP:

PLEASE be at camp on Tuesday, May 28 prior to 9 am.  Camp meets weekdays and all students must be out of the building daily by 12:25 pm. Concerts are Thursday, and  Friday nights June 6 and 7 (More information coming soon).  Tuesday, June 4 FOX news will be doing a special shoot with all campers at 8 am (EARLY CALL FOR ALL).  If you auditioned you can expect to show up to camp!

If your name is on here 2x don't worry! We'll remove it upon official registration. Note we will not update the names above until after the 2nd audition date.  If you are not on this list simply RE-REGISTER below.  It's not too late! If you have a friend that should be joining you, you can ask them to register late and come to auditions with you.  They will be considered up until the day before camp!

Here's what you should do next:

1. Text the keyword CAMP19 (no spaces) to 480-787-0777 to join our text list so we can provide you updates. Look for emails with the title SUMMER MUSIC CAMP also.

2. Show up ready to play or sing if you did not already audition.

STRING, BAND, JAZZ and VOCAL MAKE UP AUDITION DATE:    MONDAY, May 27 3 pm - 5 pm. MCC PAC.

VOCAL AUDITIONS:  Audition material: Sing either the Start Spangled Banner or Amazing Grace (sing in the key that is best for your voice).

There is no need to book a time with us for the makeup audition.  Simply show up to the MCC PAC (text DIRECTIONS to 480-787-0777 ) to get a map on your phone or use this address

You can expect to play high school regional etude #1 and scales up to 4 sharps and flats. Jazz, can expect to play All-State etude #1 and may be asked to play a blues over changes in B flat or F (optional).  We do not have music at the college so call your friends to access!

3.  If you are 14 years of age and older as of the first day of camp, be sure to bring a photo ID (it can be your school ID) to the audition.  All students must bring a signed parent/guardian responsibility form at this time.

Late registration is open until the day prior to camp starting!  We will consider all  instruments/voice at this time but special consideration will be given to String Bass, Vocalists, Jazz Rhythm Section Players, Horn, Oboe, Bassoon.

3. COMPLETE THE Camp Registration Packet  This Is Your Required Registration Packet (MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO YOUR AUDITION DATE or AT THE AUDITION) This form is required and must be submitted in PERSON or online but cannot be emailed or faxed.

4. REQUIRED CONCERTS are on Thursday and Friday night June 6, 7 at the MCC PAC.
