Accreditation Status

CoAEMSP - Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs Emergency Medicine

Accreditation in health-related disciplines serves a very important role for the public; along with certification and licensure, accreditation helps to assure that health care personnel are well-prepared and qualified.

The Mesa Community College Emergency Medical Services Paramedic Program was awarded initial accreditation on Sept. 15, 2017 by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). 

The recent peer review conducted by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) and CAAHEP's Board of Directors recognized the program's substantial compliance with the national established accreditation Standards. This initial accreditation status will expire on Sept. 20, 2022.

Mesa Community College is approved as a Paramedic Education Program under CAAHEP / CoAEMSP LoR Program #600752 & Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Trauma and Emergency Medical Services ALS Training Program Certificate Holder #450311. Please visit the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs to verify MCC's accreditation status.
