Mesa Community College’s 2019 Fashion Show, “Imagine,” takes place in the Navajo Room in the Kirk Student Center on the Southern and Dobson Campus, 1833 W. Southern Ave., Mesa, May 2, 2019.

Tickets are available online at mesacc.edu/give-fashion and at the door the evening of the event. All proceeds go to the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation to provide MCC Fashion Merchandising and Design student scholarships.

“Imagine” features 6 Fashion Merchandising and Design Program students showcasing their Collections. Other Design students in the program are showcasing their Wearable Art pieces and classroom work. Two of MCC's Fashion Design students have been awarded Artist of Promise recognition. These students are:

Fashion Design: Hayriye Erzeybek
Costume Design: Helena Balderrama Sauceda

“Our students work very hard during the course of their program,” said Evonne Bowling, MCC Fashion Merchandising & Design Operational Program Director. “This event is the culmination of their artistic and skilled energies in garment design and provides each student the opportunity to showcase their incredibly creative work.”

Macy's, a strong supporter of the MCC Fashion Merchandising & Design Program, continued the trend set by national shows of providing gift bags to VIP ticket holders. Runway hair and make-up will be styled by Modern Muse Salon.

“We are grateful for the local community support of our program,” Bowling added. “Without the contributions and career support from the fashion and business industry, our program would not be as successful as it has become.”
