Summer Sierra Digital Photography Program

This 3-week course will meet Mon. through Fri. and will consist of classroom instruction and critiques as well as numerous field trips.  Excursions will be to scenic & historic areas in and around the spectacular eastern Sierra Nevada Mtns. of California.  Free local town shuttle and MCC van will be used for local fieldtrips.  Some field trips will require short hikes of 2 – 4 mi. round trip.  Elevation: 7,880 ft. (in town) – 10,000+ ft. (mtns.) Students choose either ART142 Intro to Digital Photography or Art 290AC Independent Study Photography (requires prerequisite of Art 142 & permission of instructor) with instructor Tom Klare.

Study Abroad in Africa

A trek through the wilds of Africa will probably be the single most adventurous and exciting thing that you will ever do!  In true safari style, you’ll travel Namibia in 4x4 vehicles, learning about, exploring, and photographing Africa’s amazing wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and unique ecosystems.  This program requires students to take ART142: 19823 Digital Photography (3 cr) including a $35 lab fee with instructor Dr. Dennis Wilson

Invitational Alumni Exhibition

This exhibition invites MCC alumni to share their diverse and high quality work in photography, ceramics, painting and digital media. Ongoing exhibition until December 3, 2016.
