We are happy to announce that the COVID-19 Leaves have been extended and recently adopted through two new COVID-19 Administrative Regulations.
Your health and safety is our utmost priority. The following COVID-19 Administrative Regulations were extended to continue efforts to support the health, and well-being of our employees during this unprecedented time.
Administrative Regulations apply to all employees including full-time and part-time employees, employees on leave, and temporary employees who are jointly employed by the employer and another employer.
Currently, the Administrative Regulations will become effective January 1, 2021 and extend the COVID-19 leave options through March 31, 2021. This date is based on the Department of Labor’s new guidance enabling employers to voluntarily provide the FFCRA leave programs through March 31, 2021.
It is our understanding that President Biden is planning to propose a Coronavirus Relief Plan that would extend the FFCRA leave program through September 30, 2021. We are monitoring this proposal closely and will update our administrative regulations accordingly.
Please see the Administrative Regulations below:
These administrative regulations are also available on the Administrative Regulations website under Section 7, COVID-19 Pandemic Policies.
Procedures Will Remain the Same
Please contact the Leaves Department at email@example.com if you need to take leave.
Leave Taken as a Result of COVID-19 Can Be Retroactive to January 1, 2021
Employees who submitted requests for but were not granted EPSLA and EFMLEA between 1/1/21 and 1/26/21, please contact the Human Resources Leaves Department to have your case reviewed to determine your eligibility.
Eligible employees who used sick leave, vacation, or other leave during this period will have that time converted to the EPSLA or EFLEA leave codes and the used leave will be restored in your appropriate leave balance (back to January 1, 2021). Employees do not need to take action in the system, the leaves department will make the adjustment to reflect the EPSLA or EFMLEA and the change will be reflected in a subsequent paycheck.
