Special Projects & Grants

Federal Work-Study

The Federal Work-Study program allows our department to hire student office workers for both our Southern & Dobson campus and our Red Mountain campus. These students work at our front desk, help with special projects and events, and represent our department. In addition, select qualifying America Reads Tutors receive pay through the Federal Work-Study program as well.

Making a Difference Grant

Mesa Community College service-learning students and those in MCC student organizations can apply for this mini grant in order to fund a service project at one of our approved agencies.

Mesa United Way

Our partnership with Mesa United Way in the VITA (income tax) program creates many opportunities for MCC students. Check out these opportunities and consider donating to the Mesa United Way fund through the Center for Community & Civic Engagement.

Community Engagement Advisory Board

A parliamentary procedure-based board formed of Community Partners, Faculty, Staff, and Students to make decisions for the service-learning community at Mesa Community College. Members are allowed to share upcoming events and work together to fill needs or combine ideas.
