Supervisor Forms and Hiring Procedures for 2015-16

Federal Work Study (FWS) means JOBS on campus for students. It is a form of federal financial aid. To be eligible, you must:

  • have a complete FAFSA on file at MCC

  • have an unmet financial need

  • enroll in at least six (6) credit hours (may vary for summer FWS)

To determine your eligibility for this program, go to MCC Enrollment Services and get your "FWS eligibility slip."

Spring 2016 FWS Job Openings

Student Media & Tech Support Assistant- RED MOUNTAIN campus 

Student must provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students at the HelpCenter desk.  Assist with basic software usage and printing. Log tickets in our work order system for reported problems.  Perform preventive maintenance on media equipment (projectors, sound systems, etc) in classrooms.  Respond to classroom technical support issues. Good customer service skills are a must. Department is College Technology Services @ Red Mountain. Pay Rate: $8.50/hr. Work hours are M-Th 3:00p – 7:30p. To apply, contact Kenneth Kuhns– ken.kuhns@mesacc.edu 480-654-7706. Location/Room #: Red Mountain DW142

Recycling Collector (2 positions available) - Southern & Dobson campus 

THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN AZDL. Collect campus recycling while sorting material, cleaning recycling bins, lifting and outdoor work in hot and cold temperatures, Must be reliable, communicate effectively with employees, attention to detail. FAST-PACED WORK. Department is Recycling. Pay Rate: $8.15/hr. Flexible shift hours Monday- Thursday, must be available between 3-7 hours at a time between 6am-3pm. Recycling Collector - Southern & Dobson campus 

THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN AZDL. Collect campus recycling while sorting material, cleaning recycling bins, lifting and outdoor work in hot and cold temperatures. Must be reliable, communicate effectively with employees, and attention to detail. Department is Recycling. Pay Rate: $8.15/hr. Flexible shift hours Monday- Friday (May-July it is M-Th only). Can usually set up a work schedule around a class schedule if needed with these restrictions: must be available a minimum of 3 hours at a time between 6am-3pm and can work up to 25 hours per week.  To apply, contact Suzi Dodt 480-461-7263.
