Federal Work Study (FWS) means JOBS on campus for students. It is a form of federal financial aid. To be eligible, you must:

  • have a complete FAFSA on file at MCC

  • have an unmet financial need

  • enroll in at least six (6) credit hours (may vary for summer FWS)

Recycling Collector - Occupational Health & Safety/Sustainability

Collect campus recycling, clean bins, sort materials, provide some lifting and outdoor work, observe safety guidelines, communicate effectively with employees; must be reliable and show attention to detail.  Must have valid AZ Driver's License.  To apply, please contact Suzi Dodt at recycle@mesacc.edu.  Applications are hanging on the door of NU122.  Work hours will be flexible on weekdays, but only between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., and you must be available for at least a minimum of 3-4 hrs. in a row.  The pay rate is $8.15/hr, work up to 20 hrs. per week.

Student AV Assistant -- CTS Media Services

Must be punctual and reliable.  Duties include locking and unlocking doors in order to deliver and pickup A/V equipment.  Assist in the assembly of A/V equipment and furniture.  Troubleshoot A/V systems.  Assist with special setups and other A/V Support.  Other duties as assigned.   To apply, please contact Jan Coolman at 480-461-7622, or stop by Media Services in AS 123. Work shifts are available mornings, afternoons and evenings for up to 19.5 hours per week, and there are three positions available.  The pay rate is $8.81/hr.

Student Ambassador- Student Life and Leadership

Provide campus tours, hosting campus activities on/off campus, identify resources for student, serve under-resourced, under prepared, disengage and diverse populations, assist with recruitment activities, serve as a peer mentor and/or peer advisor, able to work at least one year. Office Coordinator - Outreach and Recruitment

Seeking an energetic, self-motivated work-study student with excellent customer service and communication skills that will serve as part of a dynamic team. Must demonstrate a commitment to service excellence and student success in performance of job duties. Ideally, you will feel comfortable working with databases, Excel spreadsheets and generating reports. Familiarity with Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, and Power Point is a plus. Computer Lab Assistant - Business & Information Systems Dept.

Work in the computer lab assisting students with their assignments. Candidate must have strong computer skills knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Disability Personal Assistant

Assist a MCC student that is disabled propel his wheelchair to and from his classes from the Disability Resource Services center on campus. Requires the assistant to be available between the hours of 8am-9am and 10am-10:30am  on Tuesday and Thursdays for the Fall semester. 1 to 2 hours per week, $10.00/hour. Need help ASAP! Biology Tutor

Tutor MCC students individually or in small groups in a learning center in one or more of the following subjects: Biology. Greet visitors and students; assess and respond with action or referral. Direct students: safety procedures, recordkeeping and more per LEC policy. Stay up-to-date on Best Practices in learning assistance by participating in paid tutor training. Must have successfully completed BIO202 (Human Anatomy & Physiology II). Successful completion of BIO205 (Microbiology) a plus. Knowledge of course content of subject area. Psychology Tutor

Must have successfully completed PSY101, 230 & 231 with A's or B's. Afternoon availability a plus. Knowledge of course content of subject area. Good verbal and written communication skills.
