Federal Work Study (FWS) means JOBS on campus for students. It is a form of federal financial aid. To be eligible, you must:

  • have a complete FAFSA on file at MCC

  • have an unmet financial need

  • enroll in at least six (6) credit hours (may vary for summer FWS)

Computer Lab Assistant - Business & Information Systems 

Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). Excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, friendly, reliable, and a willingness to learn. Pay is $8.33/hour. Available hours between 8:00 am-10:00 pm M-F. Student Life & Leadership/ Student Assistant - RED MOUNTAIN campus

The Red Mountain Student Life & Leadership department is seeking an outgoing, friendly, motivated student to work the front desk of Student Life of RM.  Duties would  include assisting with campus events, leading campus tours, posting advertisements on campus, answering phones, oversee student lounge, and other duties to support Student Life at RM.   Work hours will vary Monday- Friday, up to 19.5 hours per week. Student Assistant - English Department

High quality customer service to prospective and current students, faculty, other department staff and the general public both in person and on the telephone. Use various online programs and locate data through file navigation, assistance with photocopying, scanning and filling out forms, document prep using various computer software programs, campus errands & more.  Must be proactive and motivated to learn. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.  Previous customer service experience preferred. Shift will be 12:00pm - 3:00pm Monday through Thursday,  12 hours per week . Office Assistant - Center for Community & Civic Engagement

Greet and assist students, faculty and staff with programs offered through the department. Answer phones, work on projects and other duties as assigned.  Working hours will be Mon - Thurs 8AM - 11:30AM  and Fridays 8AM - 11:30 AM and then attend a student staff meeting from 1-2PM on Friday.  (**Please note: working hours are not flexible. Tutor - Community Outreach Center

Provide tutoring in Mathematics and/or Reading/Writing to our GED Students. Be proficient in Mathematics (MAT 142) and or Reading/Writing (ENG101). Looking for a reliable, self-starter, team player, bilingual in Spanish.  Working hours will be Mon - Fri 19.5 hours/week.   Pay rate $8.50 - $9.25 hour based on experience. Recycling Collector - Recycling

This position REQUIRES AN AZDL. Collect campus recycling while sorting materials, cleaning recycling bins, lifting and outdoor work in hot and cold temperatures, Reliable, communicate effectively with employees, attention to detail. _FAST-PACED WORK!! Must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays for at least 6-7 hours between 6am-3pm. You can split a shift into smaller increments of at least 3 hours if you have a class. Student Media and Tech Support Assistant - RED MOUNTAIN campus

This positions provides technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students at the HelpCenter desk.  Assist with basic software usage and printing. Log tickets in our work order system for reported problems.  Perform preventive maintenance on media equipment (projectors, sound systems, etc) in classrooms.  Respond to classroom technical support issues.  Good Customer Service skills are a must. Working hours will be Mon-Thurs 3:00pm - 7:30pm. Pay Rate is $8.50/hr. Financial Aid Assistant - RED MOUNTAIN campus

Seeking students who can provide customer service assistance to current and prospective students at the front counter.  Will also work within our One-stop enrollment services- including but not limited to Admissions, Registration, and Financial Aid. Social Media Specialist - The Chair Academy

Seeking someone with a strong online presence and social media mindset. Capable of learning new social media platforms and online marketing techniques. Able to follow MCCCD guidelines regarding proper posting. Duties include: generate, edit, and publish daily and/or weekly content to HootSuite, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter; additional team support as needed. Responsibilities include: promoting event campaigns; supporting live tweeting for the San Antonio 2016 International Conference March 20-25, and Program Academy interaction; encourage higher-ed and community members to actively engage with our department’s social media. Must be customer-oriented, detailed, organized, able to multi-task, and reliable. Pay rate will be between $9.00 - $10.00 per hour. Will work up to 19.5/hours week.
