Federal Work Study (FWS) means JOBS on campus for students. It is a form of federal financial aid. To be eligible, you must:
have a complete FAFSA on file at MCC
have an unmet financial need
enroll in at least six (6) credit hours (may vary for summer FWS)

THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN AZDL. Collect campus recycling while sorting material, cleaning recycling bins, lifting and outdoor work in hot and cold temperatures, Must be reliable, communicate effectively with employees, attention to detail. FAST-PACED WORK. Department is Recycling. Pay Rate: $8.15/hr. Flexible shift hours Monday- Thursday, must be available between 3-7 hours at a time between 6am-3pm. Can work up to 19.5 hours per week. Greet visitors at front counter, determine students/community members need, signing them in to AdvisorTrac (student tracking system), and referring them to the appropriate departments, advisors, and/or resources. Assisting student/community members with the Career Services computer lab area, maintaining the front counter, making copies to keep handouts in stock and in print, running campus errands, creating fliers for upcoming events, updating job books, and Career Services social media page. Must have excellent Customer Services skills, good computer usage skills, and has a passion to help others. May have to do light lifting of sandwich boards. If applicant has a driver’s license, will be able to go through golf cart training. Pay Rate: $8.15/hr. Flexible shift hours Monday- Thursday between 7:00am - 6:00pm. Welcome students to the Enrollment Center, answer enrollment and registration questions, provide general information and direct to appropriate services; assist students using self-help computer stations, create student id cards, and operate virtual waiting line technology; assist with special events and projects; provide general office support (i.e.: document scanning, filing, data entry); assist students via phone and by email. Multiple positions available. Required qualifications: excellent customer service and communication skills (bilingual desired), knowledge of MCC programs and services, familiar with my.Maricopa.edu, experience using computers, excitement about MCC and a desire to help other students. Pay Rate: $8.50/hr. Flexible shift hours Monday- Thursday between 8:00am - 6:00pm. Can work up to 19.5 hours per week. Can usually set up a work schedule around a class schedule if needed with these restrictions: must be available a minimum of 3 hours at a time between 6am-3pm and can work up to 25 hours per week.
