Sasan Poureetezadi

Sasan Poureetezadi joined Mesa Community College as Vice President of Information Technology in June 2011. His areas of responsibility include strategic planning, implementation and stewardship of information technology services at the Southern and Dobson, Red Mountain, Downtown and Gateway centers and campuses.

Sasan has more than 20 years of administrative leadership and teaching experience at the university and community college level, and has served as a consultant for private, sports and higher education entities. Actively involved in various technology-based organizations, he has presented on topics such as new media, predictive analytics, virtualization, and flipped classrooms.

Sasan was previously Director of Computer Services at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. During his tenure at Cronkite, Poureetezadi played an instrumental role in the development of a new state-of-the-art journalism and new media complex at the downtown Phoenix campus.

Before joining the Cronkite School, he served as computer learning and IT director at the Boys & Girls Clubs where he led an organization-wide initiative to develop a computer learning and lab program.

Sasan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Arizona State University and a Master of Education in Community College Education from Northern Arizona University.
