I teach Religious Studies, and as part of that I am the facilitator for for the Students for Cultural Engagement Sacred Book Club series and the CGTE's Table Talk series. The theme for all three is what I teach: "Engagement." It is a tough word to define, and even tougher to learn, but infinitely valuable.

Imagine this: After several years of marriage, you realize that you are not the same person as you were at the beginning. You have let your partner change you. That's engagement. Now imagine religious traditions and cultures and nations doing the same thing. Just imagine.
