This
site is to help you think about arrangement strategies for written
discourse. As in the case with all arrangement strategies, whether
for writing, speaking, or decoration, feel free to adapt each of these
to your particular rhetorical situation.

is split into four major categories:

In this section, you will explore four different major arrangement strategies.
One page will compare and contrast the strategies to help you think about how
or why each one might work or not work for you. Finally, the sixth area is
a list of argument types, or modes, a specific arrangement strategy.
Strategies
that Help with Essay Arrangement
This section will give you some tips, questions, outlines, and ideas on how
to decide to organize your discourse. It also includes a few more tips on constructing
introductions and conclusions.
Paragraphs
The paragraph section includes suggestions on how to focus, organize, and revise
paragraphs that fit into your argument.
Transitions
Finally, no written discourse will read well without transitions to help connect
the sentences, paragraphs, and sections. The transition section
will provide lots of examples on how to keep your argument running smoothly.
