The Official Course Description:
The development of various religions from the prehistoric to modern times. Political, economic, social and geographic relationships among world religions. Consideration of both Eastern and Western religions. Prerequisites: None.
This course is an exploration of the historical development of the 5 major religious traditions in the world using lecture, class discussion, readings, the internet, videos, group discussions and presentations. The goal of the course is to engage you in the beliefs, practices, cultures, traditions and context of religious people within these 5 traditions.
