Guidelines for Success

  1. After reading these guidelines, read the entire syllabus, the "Learning Online" page, and the remaining information under "Getting Started"
  2. Each week, take a look at the Course Modules (linked from the homepage). You will be responsible for reading the deadline overviews and paying attention to these deadlines.
  3. Check out the Web Board several times a week as there maybe something new. Notice that the board is divided into several sections. Click on the WebBoard link under "Course Tools" or on the MyMCC portal course homepage to get to our class WebBoard.
  4. Communicate with your instructor regularly. If you have questions or concerns, please e-mail me and let me know.
  5. You should already feel comfortable navigating the World Wide Web, participating in e-mail and bulletin boards (there are help sheets for both e-mail and bulletin boards under "Course Tools"), cutting and pasting your work from one document to another, and downloading files. If you are uncertain whether or not you will be able to navigate the technological aspects of the course, please contact me immediately so we can talk about it. I don't want the technology to get in the way of your success in the course.
