Black Canyon City Landslide Geology Field Trip December 5th, 2009

 

 

Basic Itinerary

 

7:30--Meet at MCC (Southern & Dobson)

 

8am—LEAVE MCC (meet on the South Side of the Physical Science Building #15--click here for a map of campus) 

 

9:00am—Stop in Black Canyon City (BCC) for a pit stop (our last "civilized" bathroom for most of the day)--grocery store & bathroom included.

 

9:30am—Arrive at field location and start hiking (this will involve some steep inclines and rugged terrain).

 

Noonish—lunch on the landslide.

 

3pm—Arrive back at the vans. 

 

3:30: Stop at Rock Springs Cafe for Pie and bathroom stops (some of the best pie in Arizona!)

 

4:30-5:30pm—Arrive back at MCC.
