Islam is the "newest" of the World Religions and a "sister" religion to Judaism and Christianity. All three religions believe in the same God and trace their roots to Abraham (thus, they all believe in the "God of Abraham"). Islam is the second largest religion in the world (1.3 billion believers). Generally, students find this the "easiest" religion to study because Islam is quite clear in its doctrines and isn't split into many denominations as some religions are.
