Internet/Computer based English 102
Continued development of standard English writing skills. Introduction to research, note taking, organization, and documentation in the preparation and writing of a research paper. Prerequisite: ENG 101 with a grade of "C" or better. This English 102 Internet computer course meets all English 102 requirements for transfer to a four year college or for a two year degree. This course is designed to be taken completely from home as a distance learning course if the student has the minimum equipment listed in the right column, but may also be taken from the MCC Multi-Use Computer Lab as an Independent study class (TBA) if the student does not have home equipment. The course provides all instructions, lectures and assignments on web pages, but also combines class participation and communication, constant contact and communications with an instructor, and convenient ways to submit assignments. This distance learning course is designed for the student who can not be on campus at specific times because of changing work hours or other commitments that will not allow campus participation at set hours.
