page document that you created in Assignment 7B, and then submit both assignment 7B and
assignment 8 together. |
Assignment Summary:

paper, the opening paragraph to your documented essay, and a Works Consulted page (40
points). Be sure that correct page numbers are on your manuscript. |

Lectures

- From the notes that you have taken, divide your paper into logical parts that will
organize the information into easily understood areas. Develop these areas into outline
form shown in the reading on outlines.
You will use this form for that outline:
I. Thesis
II. Paragraph Development
A. Paragraph 1
B. Paragraph 2
C. Etc.
III. Conclusion
- From your notes, find dramatic or effective information that will serve as a motivator
for the introduction to your paper. Using the research question, the motivator, and your
thesis statement, write an effective opening for your paper. Remember that an opening
paragraph should be one paragraph, not two or three. Be sure that you have obeyed the
"do not" list at the end of the Opening Paragraph lecture. Use
parenthetical citations as needed.
- Using the Title page & Works Consulted page from Assignment 7, add the
outline, the introduction (between the title and bibliography), place
page numbers correctly on the document, print the assignment and submit to your
instructor.
- Distance Learning students must submit the assignment by personal e-mail
attachment.
