Your Final Exam

THE TASK: To revise your final paper and submit it for your final grade.  -- You must make a "C" grade or better on this final exam to get a "C" or better in this course - see syllabus.

Requirements for final exam problematical research paper:

bulletInformal MLA title page
bullet4-6 pages of content - 4 is the bare minimum - below that is not adequate research for the final
bulletAt least one long quote (to show your understanding of long quote format)
bulletAt least one short quote
bulletMLA formatted document page numbers
bulletWorks Consulted page with minimum of 10 sources

 

Submit the final copy your paper in MLA format to Turnitin.com.    Points: 250

  1. Revise your paper and proofread it carefully.
  2. Complete a final copy that includes a title page, the body of the essay, and a Works Consulted (please use Works Cited on the one submitted to Turnitin so it will exclude your bibliography from being copied) page.
  3. Submit your paper to Turnitin.com for evaluation -- be sure to put your title and the word "Final" in the place where Turnitin asks for a title, i.e. The Snake Dance - Final. 
  4. Send and e-mail to to me stating that you have submitted your final paper to Turnitin for grading.

Checklist:

Did you double space the body of the paper?

Did you put proper MLA page numbers on the body and Work Consulted page?

Did you use a long quote (more than four fully typed lines) and a short quote and format both properly? (required)

Did you read on parenthetical documentation and use the proper form?

Did you avoid using contractions in your writing (contractions <don't, isn't> are part of colloquial language and are not used in standard English <which is used for report writing>)?

Did you type your paper in 12 point, Times New Roman font?
