Choosing and narrowing the subject

THE TASK: To form a research question for your last paper. This is your final exam paper.  You must make a "C" grade or better on this exam to get a "C" or better grade in this course.

This paper must be original research completed for this course.  Do not use a high school or college paper that you have written in the past.

  Questions and Answers for Assignment 11

Assignment Summary:

  Log on the class bulletin board, choose BB6-2nd Research Question and in the subject box enter "your Name's" research question about "subject of research," i.e. "Bradshaw's research question about the hunting of whales."   In the text box, write your research question - followed by an explanation of this question as outlined below (write this in your word processor and copy and paste it or write it directly into the board).

The first line of this essay entry should start with "Research Question:" Example:

Research Question: Is it necessary for Japan to continue the hunting of whales?

Underneath this first line, this expository entry should explain:
 
bulletYour subject and why it interests you (remember that for minimum credit, the 
posting must be at least 300 words). Your subject may be fairly broad at this 
point. You will be expected to narrow it as you read on the subject.
bulletAnything that you already know about the subject from your preliminary reading.

Read the other research questions and respond if you have opinions about or help for any of these subjects (Class Forum Extra Credit Points)

 Points: 10

Begin working in library, and on the internet for sources on this topic.
