Professional Accomplishments:


Instruction, Training, and Curriculum Development

·      Designed and implemented comprehensive curricula for over 60 courses at the university level, community college level, and for private business (credit and non-credit). Includes courses in: computer applications, process, customer service, critical thinking, and employee development.

·      Taught adult education computer, customer service, management, process, academic, and employee development courses (thirteen years).  Delivery methods included classroom, online, open entry/open exit, and Net Meeting/teleconference. Locations included: U.S., Australia, India, Korea, and Hong Kong.

·      Developed comprehensive technical competencies and corresponding online skill assessments for major corporations.

·      Developed and executed comprehensive instructional model for user documentation and training materials for various customized Oracle database applications

·      Developed Intranet-based training materials for internal software applications

·      Created web sites for use on company Intranets (training and customer service groups)

·      Edited six software training and reference textbooks: Star series, boyd & fraser/McGraw Hill Publishing

·      Significantly contributed in the ramp of seven data centers worldwide. Provided quality training, consistent processes, and increased knowledge base for employees.


Administration and Management

·      Responsible for community college computer labs, distance learning, and traditional computer courses including course offerings, curriculum development, and management of lead instructors

·      Developed strategic corporate documentation and training implementation plan.       Coordinated and implemented national technical training contract for campuses/learning centers

·      Managed corporate computer lab and coordinated computer training program for faculty and staff, including choosing materials, scheduling classes, managing and monitoring instructors, and conducting classroom training

·      Chaired task force to coordinate formulating and implementing a company-wide training needs assessment

·      Acted as trouble-shooter for computer hardware and software problems, through a technical assistance hotline

·      Wrote and implemented personnel manual, job descriptions, performance evaluations, and policy/procedure manual

·      Prepared and monitored $5 million zero-based budget; developed cost allocation system

·      Wrote and monitored contract proposals in response to grants and RFPs for state and federal agencies

·      Coordinated planning process for organizational five-year planning session

·      Organized and helped monitor paperwork/process for successful accreditation by national professional association.
