Permissible Action
One of three common moral designators. A 'Permissible' act is one which is
justified by and consistent with an ethical framework, but which does not imply an
obligation to act. There are two types of 'Permissible' acts: 'Neutral Actions'
and 'Supererogatory Actions'. A neutral action is any action that has no moral consequences at all,
while a superogatory action is morally praiseworthy, but entails no obligation.
