Necessity or Necessary

In Metaphysics, the term ‘necessary’ is used to describe any thing whose existence is not limited by some set of facts in the universe.

Anything that is unlimited by time, space, or causal dependence is necessary.

That which is unchangeable in its existence or properties.

The opposite of contingent.

In Logic, the consequent of a conditional (or hypothetical) proposition.

That which follows ‘then’ in an “if then” statement.
