Mores
Derived from Latin, mores is a term which reflects a broad spectrum of customs
including cultural values. It was used by the Anthropologist William Sumner
(1840-1910) as a synonym for 'folkways': his term for the authoritative, but
pre-philosophical customs of different cultures.
